Impacts
Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected.
Additional details
For Nome and Golovin, water levels are expected to rise to around 6 feet above the normal high tide line. In Nome, this can result in water approaching low-lying homes in Belmont Subdivision with standing water expected in the port area. For Golovin, water may inundate any beach property but the roads, buildings and residences shouldn't be impacted as the water remains below the berm. Water levels will peak Friday afternoon and gradually drop, but remain above normal through the weekend.
Precautionary actions
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
