There are no accounts and no ads, and the site sets no cookies.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure how fast pages load. It runs as a small script from Cloudflare, sets no cookies, and doesn’t build a profile of you across sites. Everything else on the page (scripts, fonts, map tiles and images) is served from forecast.blue.

forecast.blue is delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare estimates a city and rough coordinates from your IP address and passes them to our server with each request. We use them only to pick the nearest place to show you, and we don’t store them.

Only if you tap “Use my location”, “Use precise location” or “Use my exact location”. Your browser asks your permission first. The coordinates are rounded to two decimal places (about 1 km) on your device and become part of the page address, for example forecast.blue/at/39.74,-104.99.

Your saved places, °F or °C, mph or km/h, light, dark or outdoor theme, and whether you closed the welcome shown outside the US are kept in your browser’s local storage. They are never sent to us. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them.

Our web server logs each request: the time, the page address (which includes any search text and the coordinates of an /at/ page), the response status, the referring page and your browser’s user agent. Because traffic reaches us through Cloudflare, the IP address in these logs is Cloudflare’s, not yours. The logs are deleted after 14 days.

To build a page, our server requests data from the National Weather Service and the other sources listed on About the data. Those requests carry the coordinates of the place being shown and nothing about you.
