Flooding along the Conejos River and its tributaries is ongoing in and around the communities of Conejos and Antonito due to excessive rainfall over the previous 48 hours.
Impacts
Flooding of the Conejos River, area creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
Additional details
At 157 PM MDT, Emergency management reported flooding in the warned area. Stream gauges on the Conejos River and other tributaries, including the San Antonio River, are continuing to rise.
Some locations that will experience flooding include... Manassa, Sanford, Antonito, Romeo, Conejos, Bountiful and Ortiz.
